(Español)   After piloting the system in a few schools this year, the McMinnville School District is launching a new communication tool to keep families updated on district and school activities. ParentSquare will replace our current notification system SchoolMessenger with a consolidated platform that features targeted messages by classroom, school or district level. Messages will primarily be delivered via email, text, phone or mobile app.

Parent accounts were created from the preferred phone number and email entered into eSchool, the district’s student information system, when the child was enrolled. (This is the same contact information used by School Messenger.)

Parents can activate the account now. (Click for a short video outlining how to do that.)

In the weeks ahead, an invitation will be emailed to families who have not yet activated their account. Activating an account allows parents to set message delivery preferences, choose preferred language, sync calendars, sign up for events, communicate with their child’s school, opt out of certain messages, and more. Click to see an overview of ParentSquare’s features.

Families can also download the free smart phone app, which allows them to keep all school communications in one place. Click for more info on the apps (for iPhones and Androids).

Please note that standard text messaging rates may apply for all text messages. Once registered, families can choose how they prefer to be contacted.
